Workspace Management

In the Guance Billing Center, one account can be linked to multiple Guance workspaces. In Workspace Management, you can view all workspaces bound under the account, modify the settlement method of already bound workspaces, including 4 types of settlement methods: Guance Billing Center account, AWS account, Alibaba Cloud account, and Huawei Cloud account.

Note: The settlement method for workspaces only supports one change per month.

Change Settlement Method

In Guance Billing Center Workspace Management, click Change Settlement Method on the right side to change the settlement method for the current workspace. It supports 4 types of settlement methods: Guance Billing Center account, AWS account, Alibaba Cloud account, and Huawei Cloud account.

Guance Billing Center Account Settlement

The Guance Billing Center account is a dedicated independent account in the Guance Billing Center used to manage charges related to the use of Guance products. One billing center account can be associated with multiple workspace charges.

For more details, refer to Guance Billing Center Account Settlement.

Cloud Account Settlement

Cloud account settlement includes AWS Account Settlement, Alibaba Cloud Account Settlement, and Huawei Cloud Account Settlement.

Arbitrary Selection of Settlement Methods

By default, workspaces registered and logged in through the Alibaba Cloud site can only choose the Guance Billing Center account and Alibaba Cloud account settlement methods. Workspaces registered and logged in through the AWS site can only choose the Guance Billing Center account and AWS account settlement methods.

If you need to arbitrarily change the settlement method, you need to enable Arbitrary Selection of Settlement Methods. After enabling, all user workspaces of Guance can arbitrarily select the Guance Billing Center account, Alibaba Cloud account, AWS account, and Huawei Cloud account settlement methods.

Note: Enabling Arbitrary Selection of Settlement Methods requires contacting the Guance account manager to make changes in the Guance billing platform membership management.

Workspace Lock

Lock

Guance Commercial Plan workspaces settle fees by binding either a Guance Billing Center account or cloud account.

If there are situations such as the billing center account being overdue or abnormal subscription in the cloud marketplace, this will trigger the action of locking the workspace. Guance provides a 14-day grace period countdown, after which the workspace will be fully locked, and new data reporting will stop.

  • Within the 14-day countdown, you can continue to view and analyze historical data and can unlock the locked status to continue using Guance;

  • After the 14-day countdown ends, the workspace lock prompt appears, at which point the workspace data will be cleared with one click. If you still need to use Guance products, you can choose to switch workspaces or directly click below to create a new workspace.

Workspace Lock Explanation
  • Guance Billing Center accounts settle according to the billing cycle. After the bill is generated, you will receive an email notifying you of the bill generation. If your account is overdue, a 14-day settlement cycle will also be provided, and a countdown email notification will be sent again as the 14 days near expiration. If settlement has not been made after 14 days, the relevant workspace will be locked.

Unlock

As mentioned above, on the workspace lock prompt page, click Unlock Immediately to redirect to the Workspace Management page of the Observability Billing Center without logging in. You can change the settlement method for the current workspace, or click the Observability Billing Center in the upper left corner to enter the homepage and recharge the current account.

For more recharge methods, please refer to the documentation Account Wallet.

Different Unlock Scenarios
  • Enterprise certified account recharges will settle according to the bill. After settlement, the relevant workspace will be unlocked;

  • For cloud account settlements, in Workspace Management > Change Settlement Method, you can rebind the cloud account, resubscribe to the relevant cloud account, or choose to settle through the Observability Billing Center. After the operation is completed, the relevant workspace will automatically unlock.

Dissolve

Within the 14-day grace period countdown, you can manually delete the workspace by clicking Dissolve on the workspace lock prompt page. Once the workspace is deleted, it cannot be recovered, so please proceed with caution.
