SLS Logstore Index Binding¶

1. Navigate to Logs > Index page, select "Bind External Index".

2. Choose SLS Logstore. Two authorization methods are supported:

   • RAM Sub-account Authorization

   • Third-party Quick Authorization

3. Perform the corresponding account authorization.

4. Perform the corresponding resource authorization.
5. Complete field mapping.
6. Fill in the required information. After filling, you can click Test to verify the correctness of the username and password.

RAM Sub-account Authorization¶

Account Authorization¶

1. Obtain SLS Authorization File.
2. Fill in AccessKey ID / AccessKey Secret (referred to as AK/AKS).

Resource Authorization¶

1. Select the region.
2. Based on the AK/AKS filled above, Guance automatically retrieves the Project and Logstore.
3. Guance Index: By default, it is consistent with the Logstore name. You can also customize the name (❗️ This index name is unrelated to SLS and is used for your subsequent data filtering in Guance).
4. Access Type: To avoid configuration path errors leading to failure in data retrieval, choose Intranet Access or Public Network Access based on the actual situation.
5. Optionally enter an index description.

Field Mapping¶

Configure Field Mapping.

After configuration, click Confirm to complete the index binding. You can view it by switching indexes in the Explorer.

Third-party Quick Authorization¶

Account Authorization¶

1. Click "Go Now" to jump to Alibaba Cloud, log in, and perform the authorization operation.
2. Click Agree to Authorize, a Service Provider UID Verification window will pop up.
3. Click Service Provider Permission Description Page to view how to obtain the UID.
4. Enter the UID and click OK, you will be automatically redirected to Alibaba Cloud Marketplace > Purchased Services.
5. The authorization is now complete.

Resource Authorization¶

1. After account authorization is complete, fill in your Alibaba Cloud Account ID. After filling, Guance will automatically retrieve the Project and Logstore.
2. Guance Index: By default, it is consistent with the Logstore name. You can also customize the name (❗️ This index name is unrelated to SLS and is used for your subsequent data filtering in Guance).
