Activate Guance Commercial Plan on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace¶
After purchasing the Guance Commercial Plan product on Alibaba Cloud, you will be redirected to the Guance login page via Alibaba Cloud.
Step One: Purchase Guance¶
Log in and go to Alibaba Cloud Marketplace Guance, click Activate Now.
A prompt for Activating Pay-as-you-go Service appears. Agree to the terms and click Activate.
It shows Activation Request Submitted.
Click Confirm to be redirected to the Marketplace page where you can view the activated Guance instance.
Step Two: Start Using Guance¶
In Marketplace > Purchased Services, you can view the activated Guance instance. Click the Login Directly button on the right side to go directly to Guance.
On the Guance side, if the current Alibaba Cloud account ID is not linked to a Guance Billing Center account, two scenarios may occur:
No Billing Center Account: You need to register a Guance account and a Billing Center account to achieve cloud account binding and settlement;
Has Billing Center Account: You can directly bind the Billing Center account to achieve cloud account settlement.
What is a Billing Center Account?
A Billing Center account is an independent account within the Guance Billing Center platform used to manage Commercial Plan billing. It allows a single account to link multiple workspaces for unified billing management.
The overall process is as follows:
No Billing Center Account¶
If you do not have a Billing Center account, click next, which will automatically redirect you to the registration page. After completing the registration process, you will receive both a Guance account and a Billing Center account.
- Fill in basic information;
- Fill in company information;
- Choose activation method: enter workspace name, select workspace language, input Account ID, Product Instance ID;
- Click Activate to complete registration.
Has Billing Center Account¶
If you already have a Billing Center account, click next to go directly to the binding page:
Note: The site in the upper right corner of this page is unrelated to the Billing Center binding process and only affects the site when creating a workspace. This cannot be changed later.
Bind Billing Center Account¶
Enter the username of the Billing Center account and verify via email to bind it;
Bind Workspace¶
Create Workspace¶
If your Billing Center account does not yet have an associated workspace, you need to create one first. Since Guance console and Billing Center are two separate platforms, you need to confirm whether you have registered for Guance and have a Guance account.
If you have already registered for a Guance account and still need to create a workspace, go to Create Workspace > Have Guance Account.
- Enter workspace name;
- Select workspace language;
- Input the email used during Guance account registration;
- Enter verification code;
- Agree to terms;
- Click create, and the workspace will be created successfully.
After the workspace is successfully created, you will automatically return to the binding page, showing Bound.
If you have not used Guance services before, please register for a Guance account first. Go to Create Workspace > No Guance Account.
- Enter workspace name;
- Select workspace language;
- Input username;
- Input and confirm login password;
- Input email;
- Enter verification code;
- Optionally fill in phone number;
- Agree to terms;
- Click register and create workspace.
After the workspace is successfully created, you will automatically return to the Bind Guance Workspace page, showing Bound.
Bind Existing Workspace¶
If there are existing workspaces under your Guance Billing Center account that can be bound, click Bind directly.
- Select the workspace you want to bind and click bind;
- Click confirm on the new page;
- It will now show as bound.
Step Three: Activation Successful¶
After successfully binding the workspace, click confirm, and you will be redirected to the login page. Enter your username and password to access the workspace and start using Guance.
How to Obtain Account ID¶
Alibaba Cloud Main Account¶
Log in with the main account to Alibaba Cloud, enter the Alibaba Cloud console, and click the account avatar in the upper right corner to find the account ID.
How to Obtain Product Instance ID¶
After confirming the activation request for Guance on Alibaba Cloud, you will be redirected to the list of purchased services. Under the purchased Guance service, you can view the Instance ID of the product. Copy this Instance ID and enter it into the Product Instance ID field in the change settlement method dialog box.
