Custom Tag Usage

Build Configuration Method

  1. Create multiple productFlavors in build.gradle to differentiate tags

  1. Add the corresponding BuildConfig constant in the RUM configuration

Runtime Read/Write File Method

  1. Store data via file types, such as SharedPreferences, configure the SDK, and add code to retrieve tag data at the configuration point.

  1. Add a method to modify file data when needed.

Adding at SDK Runtime

After the SDK initialization is complete, using FTSdk.appendGlobalContext(globalContext), FTSdk.appendRUMGlobalContext(globalContext), FTSdk.appendLogGlobalContext(globalContext) can dynamically add tags. After setting, they will take effect immediately. Subsequently, data reported by RUM or Log will automatically include the corresponding tags.

This usage is suitable for scenarios where data acquisition is delayed, for example, when tag data can only be obtained after login, API requests, or local asynchronous initialization.

!!! warning

Avoid using the same key as the `globalContext` in the SDK initialization configuration or SDK built-in fields. When keys are the same, the static tags in the initialization configuration take precedence over dynamically added tags.
