FAQ¶
What is the difference between subscribing to Guance services on the official website and through cloud providers?
Both channels can normally subscribe to Guance services. The main difference lies in the optionality of the settlement method after subscribing.
-
When subscribing on the Guance official website, you can choose to settle through the Guance Billing Center or the cloud provider account;
-
When subscribing through the corresponding cloud provider, you can only settle through that cloud provider account.
Therefore, if you already have a preferred settlement method, you can choose the subscription channel accordingly.
How to bind the Billing Center account with the workspace?
-
If you are a new user, during the registration process on the Guance official website, you will simultaneously create a Guance console account, a Billing Center account, and a workspace. The workspace will automatically be bound to the account.
-
If you are settling through a cloud provider, after successfully subscribing to Guance services through the cloud provider, there will be a process to bind the workspace. You can choose the workspace to bind as needed.
Why are two accounts needed?
Workspaces are created under the console account, and multiple workspaces can be merged for settlement. These two processes are separate, hence requiring two accounts for separate management.
How to determine if you have a Guance console account and a Billing Center account?
The Guance console account is used for logging into the official website: https://guance.com. The unique credential for the account is the email.
The Billing Center account can be viewed under Workspace > Plans. If you have a Billing Center account, the settlement account will be displayed; or you can directly log into the Billing Center platform: https://boss.guance.com. The unique credential for the Billing Center account is the username.
How to unsubscribe from Guance on Alibaba Cloud?
-
Log into the Alibaba Cloud console, open the menu on the top left, and click Cloud Marketplace > Purchased Services;
-
In Purchased Services, you can see the subscribed Guance instance. Click Close on the top right of the instance;
-
In the Business Closure dialog box, click Confirm. After that, you will see the instance status change to Closed, indicating that the subscription to Guance on Alibaba Cloud has been canceled.
Note
After unsubscribing from Guance services on Alibaba Cloud, all workspaces bound to this account for settlement in the Guance Billing Center will have their associated cloud account removed. The current cloud account settlement will be modified to the Guance Billing Center account settlement, and users will be notified via email.
