Synthetic Tests¶

Synthetic Tests is a comprehensive online service monitoring solution provided by Guance. It creates APIs without the need for coding, utilizing globally distributed monitoring points to simulate real user experiences across different regions and network environments. This monitoring covers critical business scenarios such as network quality, website performance, and key endpoints, while also providing periodic monitoring of multi-dimensional performance metrics related to user experience.

Through the visual data analysis platform provided by Guance, you can view and analyze monitoring data in real-time, gaining a deep understanding of service performance. Guance supports multi-dimensional real-time analysis of data, helping users comprehensively grasp service availability. Additionally, by setting up alert mechanisms, you can perform anomaly detection on key performance metrics, ensuring timely responses when issues occur, and maintaining business stability and continuity.

• Multi-protocol support: Create testing tasks based on HTTP, TCP, ICMP, and WEBSOCKET protocols to proactively monitor the availability and performance of online services from multiple aspects.
• Global network monitoring: Utilize Guance's globally distributed monitoring points to instantly monitor network performance, ensuring the availability and performance of global services.
• Network site access performance analysis: Analyze the availability performance of network sites from both geographical and availability trend perspectives.
• Real-time alert notifications: Configure alert rules based on data generated from testing tasks. When anomalies occur, alerts will be sent via email, DingTalk bots, etc. according to the rules.

Getting Started¶

• Custom testing tasks: Create testing tasks based on HTTP, TCP, ICMP, and WEBSOCKET protocols to monitor the operational quality of your sites anytime, anywhere.
• Overview: Analyze the application performance of target sites under specified testing tasks from both geographical and trend dimensions, including response time, round-trip time, connection time, and availability rate.
• Explorer: View all data details returned by testing tasks, including DNS, SSL, TTFB performance test results, request errors, page load performance, etc.
• Self-built probing nodes: Guance has already covered multiple probing nodes globally. Additionally, it supports building your own nodes based on different geographical locations and cloud operators to maximize system availability.
• Synthetic testing anomaly detection: Collaborate with the monitoring feature to monitor synthetic testing data within the workspace.
