Share Snapshots¶
In the Snapshot List, click the icon on the right side of the target snapshot to share it.
Basic Configuration¶
Time Range¶
The selected time range is recorded when the snapshot is saved. You can decide whether the sharer is allowed to change the time interval of the snapshot page.
Validity Period¶
Four options are available:
-
1 day (default)
-
3 days
-
7 days
-
Permanent
Note
If "Permanent" is selected, there may be data security risks. Please consider carefully.
Sharing Method¶
Two snapshot sharing methods are supported:
After sharing, a corresponding link will be generated. You can share the link with "anyone" or share it in an encrypted manner with someone who has the key.
Snapshot Sharing Link Data Period Explanation
- If absolute time is enabled when saving the snapshot, the absolute time when the snapshot was saved will be displayed after sharing.
For example: If you choose to save a snapshot of the last 15 minutes of data at 13:30, then at 14:00, the snapshot link will display data from 13:15 ~ 13:30.
- If absolute time is disabled when saving the snapshot, the relative time when the snapshot was saved will be displayed after sharing.
For example: If you choose to save a snapshot of the last 15 minutes of data at 13:30, then at 14:00, the snapshot link will display data from 13:45 ~ 14:00.
Dashboard and Snapshot Permission Cross-Explanation
-
Dashboard permissions determine the initial visibility range of the snapshot, and the sharing method selected when saving the snapshot only affects the viewing permissions of the snapshot within the current workspace, and does not affect the permissions after sharing.
-
The permissions of the shared snapshot are mainly determined by the dashboard permissions:
-
Public or custom dashboards: The shared snapshot is public by default.
-
Dashboards visible only to oneself: The shared snapshot remains visible only to oneself.
-
-
Special cases:
-
The "visible only to oneself" permission of the dashboard takes precedence, but dashboards with a "public" visibility range will become public after sharing the snapshot.
-
If the visibility range of the dashboard changes later, the shared snapshot will be updated accordingly.
-
For more details, please refer to Dashboard Visibility Range Configuration.
Public Sharing¶
Users who obtain the sharing link can view the workspace data displayed in the snapshot.
Encrypted Sharing¶
Set a sharing code in the form of 4-8 digits and letters. Only users who obtain the sharing link and the sharing code can view it.
More Options¶
-
Show Top Bar: When enabled, the platform introduction will be displayed at the top of the sharing page.
-
Show Watermark: When enabled, the watermark of the sharer's name will be displayed in the format "Shared by: Name".
Data Masking¶
You can configure data masking for the field values in the snapshot. Enter the masking fields and regular expressions, click Preview, and the content matched by the regular expression will be displayed as * in the current snapshot.
-
Enter masking fields (multiple selections are supported).
-
Regular Expression: Implement masking through regular syntax.
For more operations, please refer to Sensitive Data Masking.
Access Restrictions¶
Enabling the IP whitelist can add extra protection to snapshot sharing.
-
Workspace IP Whitelist: Follows the workspace's IP whitelist configuration changes. Editing and modifying are not supported in snapshot sharing.
-
Custom Input: You can custom input the IP access whitelist. IPs not listed cannot view the snapshot.
For more details, please refer to How to Configure IP Whitelist.
Preview Snapshot¶
After completing all configurations, you can click "Preview Snapshot" to view the effect.
Note
The preview here is completely consistent with all processes of sharing the snapshot in the real environment. For example, if the IP whitelist access restriction is set in the previous Configuration Steps, IPs outside the whitelist will also be unable to view the preview snapshot.
View Shared Snapshots¶
Members with permissions to save, analyze, and manage snapshots can access the Shared Snapshot Management page through the following methods to view snapshots, view sharing links, cancel sharing, etc.:
-
Manage > Share Management > Shared Snapshots entry
-
Snapshot Sharing Window: When Sharing Snapshots, click "View Sharing List" in the upper right corner to jump to the Shared Snapshots management module.
