Get Started

1. Register a Guance Account

If you have never registered a Guance account, you can first register a Guance account. Guance offers a permanently free plan for independent developers and small teams.

After registration, you can log in to the Guance console at your account's site.

2. Collect Data

Guance collects data by installing DataKit. DataKit can be installed in various ways, such as host installation, container installation, etc. You can choose the installation method based on your actual needs.

Additionally, Guance also supports ingesting data via OpenTelemetry for unified analysis in the Guance console.

3. Query Data

Guance provides its self-developed DQL query, specifically designed for efficient querying and analysis of time series data, log data, event data, etc. You can query and analyze successfully collected and reported data in modules such as the Explorer, Dashboard, Metric Analysis, and query tools.

4. Create Dashboards

Dashboards are data visualization tools that centrally display various metrics in chart form, reflecting system status in real-time. They integrate multi-source data to help quickly identify anomalies and trends, while supporting team sharing and collaboration to improve decision-making efficiency.

Guance comes with 200+ built-in view templates. You can reuse these view templates with one click to start visual data analysis, or customize and create your own dashboards.

5. Configure Alert Notifications

Guance provides a comprehensive anomaly monitoring system, including 700+ out-of-the-box monitoring templates, and supports custom monitor configuration. By flexibly setting detection rules and associating alert notifications, it helps quickly achieve a closed-loop process from problem discovery and localization to resolution.
