How can Alibaba Cloud users activate Guance?¶

Alibaba Cloud users can register for Guance by selecting the "China 1 (Hangzhou)" site or by purchasing Guance products on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.

If you wish to use Alibaba Cloud SLS Log Service to store data in Guance, you can activate Guance by purchasing the Guance Exclusive Plan products on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.

How can AWS users activate Guance?¶

AWS users can register for Guance by selecting the "China 2 (Ningxia)" or "International 1 (Oregon)" site. After registration, you can settle bills using an AWS China account.

How can Huawei Cloud users activate Guance?¶

Huawei Cloud users can register for Guance by selecting the "China 4 (Guangzhou)" site. After registration, you can settle bills using a Huawei Cloud account.

What should I do if the activation process is interrupted?¶

If you have already registered a Guance account but have not yet created a workspace, you can log in with your registered account. After logging in, you will see the following page. You can choose the appropriate method to create a workspace based on your needs.

What is the difference between the Guance Commercial Plan and the Guance Exclusive Plan? Can they be switched?¶

They cannot be switched. The Guance Commercial Plan uses the default ES storage method, while the Guance Exclusive Plan uses the SLS storage method.

Note: Only supports enabling SLS storage by purchasing the Guance Exclusive Plan on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace. Workspaces that have already enabled default storage cannot be switched to SLS storage.

Why is the workspace locked?¶

If the Billing Center account is in arrears, or if the Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Huawei Cloud, or other cloud marketplace subscriptions used for settlement are released, expired, or deleted, the related workspace will enter a locked state. Guance will send a notification email.

How to recover a locked workspace?¶

Within the 14-day lock countdown, the workspace stops writing new data, but historical data can still be viewed and analyzed. You can click Unlock Now on the lock prompt page and follow the instructions to restore settlement.

After 14 days, the workspace will be completely locked and cannot be accessed or unlocked by yourself. Please contact your account manager for assistance.
