Message Channels¶
Message Channels connect an Agent to external messaging platforms such as Weixin, WeCom, DingTalk, and Feishu. Team members can work with the Agent from existing group or direct-message conversations, and Automation or Task Intake can deliver results to selected sessions.
Use Cases¶
- Ask the Agent questions from an engineering, operations, on-call, or project group.
- Let the Agent add analysis and recommendations during alert or incident collaboration.
- Deliver reports, inspection results, or risk summaries to fixed conversations.
- Use separate accounts or groups for Agents with different responsibilities.
Supported Platforms¶
Available platforms depend on the current product edition:
| Product | Supported Message Channels |
|---|---|
| Obsy | Weixin, WeCom, DingTalk, Feishu |
| TrueWatch | Lark, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram |
The page shows only the platforms supported by the current product. Feishu and Lark are separate entries for different product editions; configure the platform shown on your page.

Creating and enabling a Message Channel connects the Agent to an external account. A selectable Channel session is created or reused only after the Agent receives a message from the target group or direct-message conversation.
Create a Message Channel¶
- Open the target Agent workspace and select Message Channels.
- Select New Channel.
- Choose one of the platforms shown on the page.
- Enter the requested platform credentials, or complete QR login when available.
- Save the configuration and check its status in the list.
- If it is not already enabled, select Enable channel.
For platform-specific preparation, see:
- WeCom Message Channel Configuration
- DingTalk Message Channel Configuration
- Feishu Message Channel Configuration
Weixin uses the QR login shown on the page. The page checks the scan result automatically; no additional confirmation is required.
Set a Weixin Message Channel Alias¶
The default name returned by Weixin may be difficult to recognize. After connecting it, set a display alias for the Message Channel:
- Find the Weixin channel under Message Channels.
- Open its more-actions menu and select Edit Message Channel Alias.
- Enter a name that your team can recognize and save it.
An alias can contain up to 50 characters. It is used only for display and session selection; it does not change the Weixin account, message routing, or connection configuration. Clear the alias and save to restore the default name. After an alias is set, locations such as Task Intake prefer it when listing Channel sessions.
Prepare a Channel Session for Result Delivery¶
Automation and Task Intake target a Channel session for a specific group or direct-message conversation, not the Message Channel configuration itself.
Make sure the Message Channel is enabled. Then add and @ the bot in the target group and send a message, or send the bot a direct message. Return to the Automation or Task Intake settings and refresh the page to select that session.
One Message Channel can have multiple sessions. Results are sent only to the one or more sessions you select, not broadcast to every conversation under the same Message Channel.
If the selection list is empty or the target conversation is missing, check that:
- The Message Channel is enabled and healthy.
- The target conversation has sent the Agent a message.
- The configuration and target session belong to the same Agent.
- The page has been refreshed or reopened.
Manage Credentials and Accounts¶
Saved Message Channel credentials cannot be edited directly. To replace them, select New Channel and enter the new credentials. If the system identifies the same account already connected to the current Agent, confirm the update to replace that connection without creating a duplicate or affecting other Agents. You can also delete the old connection and create it again.
A Message Channel account should be used by only one Agent at a time. If the account is already connected to another Agent, continuing makes the previous Agent's connection invalid. The previous Agent can no longer send or receive messages through that account. To restore it, reconnect the account from the previous Agent. If both Agents need long-term access, prepare a separate account for each one.
Confirm the account replacement impact
When the page reports that another Agent already uses the account, first confirm whether that Agent still needs it. Do not replace a production or on-call account without coordinating with its owner.
Manage Connected Message Channels¶
The list shows each platform, account, and current status. Depending on the status and your permissions, you can:
- Enable channel to let the Agent send and receive messages through the account.
- Disable channel to pause messaging while keeping the configuration.
- Edit Message Channel Alias to give a Weixin channel a recognizable display name.
- Delete to remove the connection between the Agent and the account.
- Retry only when a page load or connection operation fails and the page provides this action.
A connection invalidated by another Agent cannot be enabled again. Delete it, or reconnect the account as described above.
Only members with Agent management permission can create, enable, disable, rename, or delete Message Channels. Other members have view-only access.
Best Practices¶
- Match each account and conversation to the Agent's responsibilities.
- Use separate accounts for Agents with different roles or environments to avoid replacement conflicts.
- Test messaging and result delivery in a test group before using an on-call production group.
- Deliver automated results only to conversations that need them to avoid unnecessary noise.
- Never share secrets, tokens, or application credentials in group chats, email, tickets, or unauthorized documents.
- Before disabling a Message Channel, check whether Automation or Task Intake still delivers results to its sessions.
