Scenarios¶
"Scenarios" is a unified data visualization and analysis workbench for building data insight views, monitoring system operational status, and sharing analysis conclusions with teams. Through Scenarios, you can transform scattered data such as Metrics, Logs, and APM into interactive business insights.
| Scenario Requirement | Solution | Core Features |
|---|---|---|
| Build monitoring dashboards to display core business Metrics in real-time | Dashboards | 30+ chart types, variable linkage, scheduled refresh |
| Deeply analyze raw data during fault investigation | Explorer | Log/APM/performance detail queries, drill-down analysis |
| Regularly report system status to the team | Scheduled Reports | Automatic report generation, email delivery |
| Record analysis processes, accumulate knowledge and experience | Notes | Mixed text and images, embedded charts, team sharing |
Features¶
Dashboards¶
Dashboards are customized views for data insights, used to centrally display scattered visual charts, building monitoring dashboards or business boards.
-
Rich chart library: Provides over 30 chart types, covering visualization needs for various data types and scenarios.
-
Flexible data queries: Supports simple queries, DQL, PromQL, and external data source integration, adapting to various data scenarios.
-
Powerful interactive capabilities: Achieve cross-chart linkage filtering through View Variables; use Chart Links to drill down to the Explorer to view raw details, enabling traceability from macro trends to micro causes.
View Variables¶
View Variables are global filter controls at the top of a dashboard, core to achieving data linkage between charts.
-
Globally effective: Modifying the top variable value refreshes all charts referencing that variable simultaneously, eliminating the need for individual adjustments.
-
Hierarchical filtering: Supports configuring cascading queries, enabling multi-level linkage selections such as "Service → Environment → Version".
-
Drill-down and linkage: Can serve as carriers for chart drill-down, automatically populating variable values when navigating from other pages; clicking chart data points can also update variables in reverse, achieving bidirectional linkage.
Explorer¶
Provides deep query and display capabilities for specific data types (Logs, APM, RUM, etc.).
- Custom analysis dimensions: Configure charts, filter fields, list display columns.
- Data type coverage: Logs, APM, RUM, Profile, etc.
- Correlation analysis: Bind built-in views to view them from unified entry points in modules like Infrastructure, APM, etc.
Built-in Views¶
Built-in Views are reusable analysis templates that help you quickly obtain standardized data insights in different scenarios such as HOST, CONTAINERS, MIDDLEWARE, etc.
-
System Views: Officially pre-configured monitoring templates covering mainstream technology stacks, ready to use out-of-the-box.
-
User Views: Support saving custom dashboard configurations as templates for team reuse.
-
Integration with modules: Built-in Views can be embedded into modules like Infrastructure, APM Explorer, etc., for correlation analysis; they can also be exported to dashboards with one click for deep customization.
Scheduled Reports¶
Scheduled Reports can automatically generate and distribute dashboard data periodically, replacing manual summaries and making data proactively reach people.
-
Flexible report types: Supports generating real-time reports instantly, or automatically generating daily/weekly/monthly archival reports to retain historical snapshots.
-
Automatic delivery: Supports periodic email delivery to team members, ensuring timely information synchronization.
Notes¶
Notes is a lightweight collaboration and analysis recording tool that helps you accumulate insights and form a team knowledge base.
-
Rich text editing: Supports Markdown format, can embed real-time updated dashboard charts, images, videos, etc.
-
Team sharing: Can save analysis conclusions, anomaly investigation records as notes and share them with team members.
-
Knowledge accumulation: Solidifies temporary analysis processes into documents for future review and reference.
