Create SLO¶
Go to Monitor > SLO > Create SLO:
-
Define the name of the current SLO task.
-
Set the SLO detection frequency, which monitors whether abnormal events occur in the monitors within the SLO task over a specified time period as a cycle. Currently supports 5 minutes and 10 minutes.
-
SLI: The normal uptime of the monitor will be used as the metric to measure system stability. Here, you can add one or more monitors as measurement indicators.
-
Compliance Rate: Set the SLO target value (0–100%), using 7 days as a time reference dimension.
- Target: When Minimum Target Percentage >= Compliance Rate < Target Percentage, it is considered SLA unhealthy, generating a Warning event.
- Minimum Target: When Compliance Rate < Minimum Target Percentage, it is considered SLA non-compliant, generating an Urgent event.
-
Alert Strategy: After selecting the associated Alert Strategy, corresponding alert notifications will be sent once anomalies are detected.
-
Description: Add descriptive information.
SLO Labels¶
When you create or edit an SLO task, you can also add labels for the current task in the upper left corner, enabling data linkage within the current workspace through global labels.
SLO Grouping Dimensions¶
SLO supports configuring grouping dimensions, allowing grouped calculation of compliance rates under the same SLO by project, env, and service, eliminating the need to create separate SLOs for each business line.
Configuration Method: After selecting the SLI monitor, the system automatically reads the actual dimension values present in the monitor's data from the last 7 days. Select grouping fields from project, env, and service, then check the specific values under each field that need to be tracked. The system will calculate the compliance rate separately for each selected combination of values.
Data Viewing: - A dimension filter row is added below the title in the SLO details side panel, allowing you to switch and view the compliance rates for different dimension value combinations. - When configuring SLO charts in a scenario dashboard, a "Filter Dimensions" row is added to the query area. After selecting specific dimension values, the chart displays the corresponding compliance rate in real-time.
Note
Each dimension combination is an independent calculation line; cross-dimension aggregation is not supported. To view the compliance rate at the project level, you need to create a separate SLO grouped only by project. After modifying the grouping dimension configuration, it takes effect from the next detection cycle; historical data is not reprocessed.
