FlowPorts Integration Guide¶
FlowPorts performs data parsing, filtering, transformation, and routing between data sources and Guance, and sends the processed data to the Workspace through DataWay.
The integration flow is: Data Source → FlowPorts → DataWay → Guance.
Access the Integration Page¶
Log in to the Guance console, switch to the Workspace that receives data, go to Integrations > FlowPorts, and view the connection information and integration steps.
Afterwards, configure a destination, create and publish a data flow in FlowPorts to send data to the current Workspace.
Installation and Initialization¶
If FlowPorts has not been deployed yet, open the Installation and Initialization Guide from the integration page, complete installation and initialization according to the deployment environment, and then access the deployed FlowPorts.
For product introduction and deployment instructions, refer to the FlowPorts official documentation.
Obtain Workspace Connection Information¶
On the Integrations > FlowPorts page, view and copy the following information separately to configure the FlowPorts destination:
| Configuration Item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| DataWay Address | The gateway address used to send data to the current Workspace |
| Workspace Token | Identifies and verifies the Workspace receiving data |
The Workspace Token can be shown, hidden, and copied. Before configuration, confirm that the current Workspace in the console is the expected data receiving Workspace.
Configure the Destination¶
The following operations are completed in the deployed FlowPorts:
- Go to Destination and create a DataWay destination;
- Fill in the DataWay Address and Workspace Token copied from the console;
- Save the destination for use by the data flow.
Create and Publish a Data Flow¶
- Create a data flow in FlowPorts and set the data receiving method;
- Configure data parsing, filtering, transformation, and routing rules as needed;
- Select the DataWay destination created in the previous step;
- Save and publish the data flow.
Send Data and View Results¶
Have the application or collector send data to the data ingestion address configured for this data flow. After FlowPorts processes and forwards the data, open the Explorer for the corresponding data type in Guance, select a query range covering the time when the data was generated, and confirm the data has arrived.
If no data is visible, check the following in order:
- Whether data has been sent to the data ingestion address configured in FlowPorts;
- Whether the data flow has been published and the correct destination is selected;
- Whether the DataWay Address and Workspace Token of the destination come from the same target Workspace;
- Whether data has been filtered by processing rules, and whether the query time range and filter conditions cover the expected data.
For more configuration instructions, open the complete integration guide from the console integration page, or refer to the FlowPorts official documentation.
