Dedicated Compute Power¶
Dedicated Compute Power (Worker Group) is a compute resource purchase option provided by Guance for workspaces. After purchase, all query requests within that workspace will be executed through dedicated compute nodes, no longer sharing query resources with other workspaces, thereby significantly improving query response speed and stability.
Billing Description¶
Dedicated Compute Power is billed per specification and adopts a monthly billing model.
Specifications and Pricing¶
- When Dedicated Compute Power is not purchased, the workspace uses shared compute resources by default. The sampling thresholds and query concurrency limits for each module are as follows:

- After purchasing Dedicated Compute Power, all query requests within that workspace will be executed through dedicated nodes. The limits are increased according to the selected specification:

Burst Mode¶
For peak business query periods, Guance provides Burst Mode (Compute Power Boost). Once enabled, you can define the peak period timeframe. The system will automatically horizontally scale the compute nodes by double during that period, increasing query performance by 100%.
The scaled-out nodes are billed at 50% of the original specification's monthly fee and are only active during the peak period.

Billing Example¶
Example: Assume you purchase the Large specification (32 cores) and configure the daily peak period from 10:00–12:00 for Burst.

After purchase, the above fees are incurred monthly. During the custom-defined peak period, the system automatically doubles the compute nodes. During non-peak periods, queries are still executed using the base specification nodes.
Usage Notes¶
- Dedicated Compute Power is a workspace-level resource. After purchase, all query requests from users within that space are executed through dedicated nodes.
- The sampling threshold and query concurrency number in the usage limits are the specification's upper limits. Exceeding these limits may affect query performance.
